No really, I’m excited about Hanukkah. (Really!) The boys are home this week (er, one is en route) and my parents will be here tomorrow for Thanksgiving with a little Hanukkah on the side.
It’s just that I haven’t decorated yet, and at this point–since the holiday begins at sundown TONIGHT (I thought it was tomorrow, arggghhh!)–I’m once again thinking that it would be easier to just quietly scoot those boxes of decorations back into the corner of the crawl space.
It’s not the first time this kind of thing has happened; in fact, when I searched through my blog archives just now I found the post I wrote three years ago that made me spit out the Coke Zero I was drinking.
It’s called “Happy Hanukkah…Sigh” and ends with “OMG…WHAT HAVE I DONE TO MY CHILDREN???”
Read it here, I mean just so we can all simultaenously confirm how pitiful I am.
Enjoy this picture of D from back in the days when I was on top of my game and decorating a couple weeks ahead of time…
…and if you’re on the ball and ready to order holiday cards, check out my review of the Minted website (spoiler alert: it’s AWESOME) while your pumpkin pies are baking!
More words and less blah tomorrow, my friends!

I like “Thanksgiving with a Little Hanukkah on the Side” way better than Thanksgivwhatevertheheckkah! Happy, happy 🙂
I’m with you. I refuse to combine the two holidays into one name. Then again, maybe I’m just lazy. 🙂 xo
Happy Hanukkah my friend!
I am trying to figure out what that thing is in the background of that picture. It looks like the head of Tinkerbell.
