This conversation actually happened at the base of the Marina City towers (my lifelong dream home) over the weekend:
D: I would love to live here.
Me: I would love to live here. I have wanted to live here since I was a kid.
D: Well, you’ve only wanted to live here longer than me because you’re…
Me: Because I’m…OLDER???? *rolling eyes* I KNOW. I’m older. I was here first.
D: Anyway, I want to live here.
Me: Sigh.

Who says you can’t both live there? That’s every young twentysomething’s dream, right? To live next door to his Mom?
I *actually* almost said something like that to him, but I figured I’d save it for an “emergency”. 🙂
I get first dibs I have wanted to live there longer than you. I am a little older than you. But we can live on different floors and I’ll take the top floor.
