And Just Like That…

After a summer away,

I can see the light!

training young scouts on wilderness survival

He's almost here!

and chasing bears into the woods

he returned home.

Looking pretty good after living outside for an entire summer...

We’re all pretty happy about it.

I know where she'll be sleeping tonight.

Roxie is happy! She just doesn’t show it like the rest of us.

    • Melisa August 20, 2012, 3:22 pm

Oh, she is SUPER PSYCHED. (seriously) That’s his pillow that he took along/brought home! 🙂

Aw! Does he look totally different to you? How awesome to have him home!!!

    • Melisa August 20, 2012, 5:15 pm

Well, no, not totally different. But he’s about 20 pounds lighter than when he left in May (2 inches off his already-skinny waist: yikes!): not great since he started at just under 150 lbs. But all of the hiking he did burned off everything he ate and then some. I have confidence he’ll gain much of it back in no time. 🙂

It IS pretty nice to have him on the couch with me. 🙂

YAY!!! So happy he’s home! I can’t wait to hear all about his adventures! I told Nick about Dylan chasing the bear and he thought that was awesome!

Even before I read your comment about his weight I thought he looked very skinny. Does he put on weight at school?

I am glad he is home.
    Love you all.
