I Come By It Honestly,
Will Someone Please Slow Down the Crazy Train

I do the exact same thing – but I keep the big bag that holds all other bags in my pantry, stick my grocery list and shopping money in there prior to going shopping so I have to grab it before I leave.
I even have two bags that YOU gave me! Someone told me that libraries take the extras.
I am a HUGE advocate of using reusable bags. Though, I have my favorites and those are the ones I always use. In the past, I have sent them here: http://www.cheapomcfrugalpants.com/2010/08/frugal-friday-drowning-in-reusable-bags.html – because…awww…every child needs a school bag from here to Africa!! Also, use them as gift bags! Instead of buying paper ones, put gifts in the reusable ones and you’ve just made your gift more practical. Or, take them to a store that doesn’t bag your groceries and leave them on the “bagging counter” for other people to use. Or, donate them to a food pantry where people can use them to pack their goods. I always think to myself…what good are 100 bags doing me by sitting in a cabinet, where they could make a huge difference in someone else’s lives. 🙂
Also…these eye bags of mine…when did that happen????? GO.AWAY.
I love the food pantry idea!
I just came up with a great idea…I’m going to send you all of mine! LOL 🙂
I actually give them away (along with the swag from the conferences I don’t know what to do with). But no matter how many I give away, I always get back like 4 more. Sigh.
Oh man I have SO many reusable bags. It is a problem. I think I even blogged about it myself at one point. Of course I have acquired several more since then. I can’t stop!
We actually do use them about 50% of the time. The other half they do end up sitting in a bag of bags. In our trunk though so that on the off chance we DO remember they’re there for us to use.
Were we separated at birth? That is exactly what I do with them. I was thinking when I move into my real house, I’ll use them as wallpaper in my sewing room. #baghoarder
I was laughing because I have a lot of the same bags! So… while I thought I could just agree with Patty (and send all my bags to you) that wouldn’t really work since then you would just have duplicate bags. Oh well.
I have weeded down the bags a bit. Kept my favorites (that still never get used) and then donated the others. I actually have used them to pack our clothing/toy/etc donation in. That way I’m organizing my donations AND getting rid of bags in a useful way.
I like using the grocery store cloth bags for EVERYthing. And I have tons of bags from blogging, too. Corinne used one for an art project. So that’s like, .038% of my bag collection gone.
Donating them sounds like a good idea. Especially the ones with uncomfortable straps. What’s the point in that? Those little nylon straps kill me.
