Travel vs. Home

“To move, to breathe, to fly, to float
To gain all while you give
To roam the roads of lands remote
To travel is to live.” (Hans Christian Andersen)

My sister and I have been ruthlessly mocking the way that the contestants on “The Amazing Race” had to recite this quote to a Danish judge as a part of last week’s episode, and though I love the quote and believe it is true, after a long Thanksgiving weekend full of fun with family and friends, I’m currently a fan of THIS quote:

“There’s no place like home.” (Dorothy, The Wizard of Oz)

We’re finishing up our hosting/visiting with family, tomorrow. It’s been a loooooooong weekend. Actually looking forward to Monday (the hor-ruh!)

I’ve been home all weekend. I’m with Hans.

I’m sure I’ll be with Hans again in NO TIME.

Count me in on the “there’s no place like home” quote. Good to go there, good to be back home.

      Consider yourself counted in! 🙂

My daughter was home for Thanksgiving, so that was plenty of family for me. Looks like we’re headed north at Christmas though. Maybe it’ll snow.

Depending on how far north you’re headed, I can almost guarantee it will! 🙂
