In celebration of my being the birthday girl today, I decided to take a year off from my usual “reflection route” and share with you some cold, hard facts about just how old I am. Here is a (partial) list of things that are younger than I am:
~Pong, the first video game
~Wendy’s fast food chain
~Saturday Night Live
~Walt Disney World
I’m younger than television and sliced bread, though, so at least I’ve got that going for me.

You were adorable! I love the red shades.
If it makes you feel better, I’m older than 8-track tapes and the measles vaccine.
Hey! And you’re younger than I am too! 🙂 So there’s that.
Happy Birthday! Enjoy!
Happy Birthday! I didn’t know ours were so close together. Next year, we MUST celebrate!
Happy Birthday. Love the saddle shoes. And the shades. You rocked them both in a way that I could only aspire to at that age. Tres chic.
LOL, Tara trumped you–Sooo funny! I shouldn’t laugh, though, because I am older than 8-tracks, too. In fact, I’m older than the Civil Rights Movement! YIKES
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MELISA!! 🙂
What is that pattern on your pants? And I’m willing to bet they were corduroy. Happy Happy Birthday.
P.S. You can add me to that older than you list as well.
Happy day! You were quite the fashion maven back then. Weren’t we raised in an age of glorious fashion?
I’m as old as dirt. So there. Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday!!! I’m older than you and that is ALL anyone needs to know…DAMMIT.
You’re younger than me too. You’re welcome.
Happy Birthday. Hope it was a great day that translates to an even better year.
Those pants were corduroy and she loved them. I’m older than all of you I bet. I remember that our family was the first to get a Televison in our neighbor and the neighbors would pile in to watch this small TV that was in a would cabinet.
WE LOVE YOU.
Sorry spelt wood wrong. Can you tell I’m tired.
Can you explain what Post It notes are? 😛 HAHAHHA. Just kidding. I hope you had a wonderful day full of love & laughs 🙂
CDs – and not the money kind. Laptops. Tape recorders, too, right?
I’m going to not think about what’s younger than me. This is why we have purposely never used the “broken record” saying in my house. I refuse to be asked what a record is 🙂
