Yay us!
Michelle and I completed the Blogher 5K this morning! Michelle ran just about all of it; she had to stop at certain intersections to figure out which way to go! I ran more than half of it before I alternated running and walking. I have a blister the size of a quarter on the bottom of my foot that I got over the last two nights while hoofing it all over Manhattan in non-sensible shoes (THANKS, annoying sandals…NOT!), and that bothered me a bit. Plus? It was freakin’ hot and humid, even at 6:15 a.m. But it’s okay because I FINISHED. YAY!
I will always remember running up 6th Avenue towards Central Park in a group of six others wearing colorful tutus, my iPod blasting “New York, New York” by Moby with Debbie Harry. Incredible.
More later: sessions are starting!

Yay us! Wow, we really did write the same sort of post, huh? And the same title. I promise, I didn't see yours until now. You didn't mention the beautiful necklaces we now share though…. And how great a job you DID do while running. When's our next 5K? 😉
