Only Slightly Different From Smelling Like He’s Toasted.

The younger boy and I were leaving the house to go…somewhere*. I was in the driver’s seat already, putting my seatbelt on, when he opened up the passenger door and climbed in.

“Woo!” he said, running his hand through his hair. SOMEONE smells freshly baked and right out of the oven. Oh wait! It’s me!”

I looked at him quizzically, and said, “Huh?”

He grinned. “I used your Oatmeal Raisin shower gel.”

A-ha. Okay, now that makes sense.

*I can’t remember, and it’s not an important part of my story.

It's like you got to ride around with the Pillsbury Dough Boy!

Love him, he is so funny! (your boy, not Pillsbury boy)

Watch out! The ladies are going to want to just eat him up.

I like you son's sense of humor!

". . . freshly baked and right out of the oven . . ." LOL

Kids who use sarcasm as humor just crack me up.

Funny dude. Somehow, I think he and #2 Son would be cut from similar cloth.

Personally, I prefer the Apple Pie shower gel I steal from my wife, but I'm sure that Oatmeal one is good too 🙂

At least he wasn't 'half-baked.' What a wit!! He must get that from his mom too.

How cute! Might I just say that I am so very thankful mine outgrew their Axe phase?

Mmmmm yummy! If only it were warm and sunny out, it would be a perfect car ride with him, no? I love that he used it – so few boys I know would go anywhere near it 🙂

LOL! Awww he smells like a cookie! 🙂

  • SoccerMom April 8, 2010, 5:31 pm

Yeah, I wish mine would out grow the axe phase also. However, with all the sports I am just happy that he doesnt smell like sweaty gym clothes.

PS I was gonna say sweaty balls, but wasn't sure if that was appropriate to say here???

hee! hee! they say the men (boys too I am sure) love food smells. I used to work at Blackberry Farm and the Chef would say a little vanilla extract behind his wife's ear would drive him mad! See ladies perfume right in the kitchen cabinet!
