Well, it’s November 1 and you know what that means…
Lots of things.
But one thing I’m thinking of in particular needs to be announced this evening: I’m doing NaBloPoMo (otherwise known around here as NaBloPoMoFo).
What is that? For me, it’s nothing too different from what I normally do, to be honest. It means that I am committed to posting each and every day during the month of November. I post nearly every day anyway, but as Tara mentioned in her post about it today, it’s one thing when you post nearly every day anyway, and quite another when you “have” to post.
But I’m in a good groove, especially lately, so why not commit to it and try to earn some of the prizes that are being given away at the end of the month? Why the heck not????
I’ve done NaBloPoMo before, in 2007. By the end of the month I was fried because I was actively posting in three places all month long. This time should be easier.
I didn’t even think about participating until today, but that’s how I roll. (I guess)
Several of my bloggie friends are participating and I’m happy to be among a happy crew, but the one I’m totally stoked about is MY SISTER, whose blog posts have been few and far between because, gee, she has a LIFE, you know. But I’m so excited she’s going to be regular this month.
Wait, that didn’t come out right.
If you haven’t checked out my sister’s blog, do it. You won’t regret it. She is extremely funny and witty, and will handle this undue pressure I’m putting on her to be just as extremely funny and witty as usual by sending lots of folks over to her now that she’s announced her NaBloPoMo participation with grace and ease. (Let’s hope.)
Do you want to jump on the Crazy Train and participate with us? Go here to sign up, and be sure to friend me (Melisa with one S, duh!). Also, I’m starting one of those infernal Twitter lists for NaBloPoMo, so be sure to let me know if you sign up to do it!

If I don't get at least 40% more readers/comments at House of Jules from this, I'll demand a refund of that 10-spot I slipped you the other day.
Apparently it's a good thing that I'm taking off three weeks from work in November (hey – any free time for cookie dough or other adventures between Nov 9 and 26?). I'm going to need that time to keep up with blogs apparently 😉
Yay for being NaBloPoMo buddies – and thanks for the heads up. There's an edited version of my blog up with thanks to you at the bottom!
You already know I'm stoked you're in; you'll rock it 🙂
Going through my Reader it's funny how many of my bloggie friends I actually met through NaBloPoMo three years ago. Good stuff and I'm ready!! Bring it!
I was hoping to see pics of your dog. I'm kind of disappointed.
So what happens if you sign up and miss a post? Are you kicked off the mofo train??
